This is the process to get yo set up to trade with Openreach. It includes selecting the appropraite products / services, signing the contracts and getting you set up on our systems. We can also help you through the integration journey (if appropraite), and can give you demos on how to use our systems, just ask!
The Onboarding portal takes you through the journey step by step, and you can use it to see what stage your application is at
As a sole trader, there are a couple of additional things we need from you so please click the contact us button to send an email into the Onboarding hopper or CP sets dates and times using a calendar which sends them to onoarding hopper.
Everything is clearly outlined as part of the online journey, and once you're registered, you can 'save and return' as needed. The key things you'll need to register are you company name, number and DUNs number…along with a view of what you would like to onboard for

The process typically takes a few weeks but will vary depending upon any clarifications needed, and of course, you submitting the application!
The deposit is there to help protect you and ring fence funds to ensure your account remains healthy

The MCT process is to ensure that your modem is compliant and will work on the Openreach network. The process involves sending your CPE to Openreach for testing and typically takes 4 weeks once started. For more information and how to book in your CPE, please get in touch with us.
The below table details the required specifications of overhead cables that can be used in the Openreach network. All cables which require approval will be tested using the criteria below in order to be signed off for use.

Resistance to wind /ice | Cable must be able to withstand 97 kph wind, no ice. 80 kph wind + 5mm ice. 0 kph wind, + 10mm ice. |
Sag due to temperature variation | Cable must be specified to operate in a temperature range of -15°C to +30°C |
