Lit Building Solutions

Our 'Lit Buildings' programme currently identifies new, large Multi Occupancy Unit (MOU) offices being constructed in the City of London and from April 2014 will expand this to other new major office developments across the UK, with a view to pre-providing fibre connectivity into the communications room long before any business tenants move in. We provide network in this way at the invitation of developers and working with the Local Authority.

Putting fibre into a building before it is occupied enables us to provide future dedicated Ethernet services to businesses within office buildings much faster than would otherwise be the case; good news for all our customers, the building owners and the business tenants themselves.

We have already connected a number of key buildings in London, with more on our radar. We are also keen to roll this out more widely where other new large office developments are identified. We would therefore really like to hear about plans for new large scale MOUs (typically 100,000 sq ft) across the UK. Potential MOUs can be flagged to us via the form on this page, but please be aware that strict criteria are used to ensure we only pre-provide fibre where it is commercially viable.
