These pages are intended to assist those who need help in identifying and describing plant which is the responsibility of Openreach. We have divided the plant into footway, carriageway, above ground and non-standard.
The look of the old BT plant has changed a bit over the years, but generally the sizes have stayed the same. Within these pages we have attempted to capture all the variations but some may not be included. If you feel that you have identified plant that is not covered, please contact the Openreach Streetworks Consultant who will arrange for the tool to be updated.
We have sorted our plant into type as per the headings below and on the left. These categories relate to the design and not necessarily the location as often carriageway covers are to be found in the footway and verge.
