Openreach offer two types of Risk Assessment and Method Statement; a Generic Risk Assessment and Method Statement (GRAMS) and a Site Specific Risk Assessment and Method Statement (SSRAMS).
Our GRAMS covers; our safety policy, procedures, accreditations, safety performance, insurance certificates as well as safety task statements. Safety task statements include risk assessments for engineering tasks we’ll carry out. A lot of the time our GRAMS documentation is all that's required and should help the end customer plan for an engineering visit. Our GRAMS document can be downloaded without charge here.
An SSRAMS is carried out before an Openreach engineer visits the end customer’s premises to carry out provision or repair activities. We’ll visit the end customer's premises in advance, walk through and document the engineering activities that will take place during the engineering appointment. The SSRAMS includes all of the information captured within a GRAMS and additional information specific to the site i.e. notes and photos which will help the engineer on the day.
If you require SSRAMS for multiple orders at the same premises, you only need to raise one SSRAMS request but please list the orders in the notes section.
It's really important for you to make sure you need to request an SSRAMS visit for your customer. SSRAMS are charged at the current Time Related Charges (TRC) rates which can be found here.
Please read details of the SSRAMS process in the attachment below:
Once you have read the details of the SSRAMS process and ensured your case meets the criteria. You may click here to request an SSRAMS. Our Add on Services Team will handle the rest.
If you have any questions on your SSRAMS cases, please chat with our Add on Services team through EiVA. To understand more on how to connect to the Add on Services team via EiVA please press here.
