WES provide a connection between your network and an end customer. You can use your own network to connect a circuit to the far end or far edge of your network, and then use another WES to complete the end-to-end circuit. The end-customer to end-customer version is called Wholesale End-to-End Services (WEES).
These products aren’t available to new customers
We stopped selling them on 1 June 2011. And we’ll be ending support on 31 March 2021. We’ve replaced them with Ethernet Access Direct (EAD).

We’ll be withdrawing support for these products on 31 March 2021. Until then, WES, WEES and BES circuits up to 1Gbps are covered by the repair service level agreement wording in schedule 4C(i) of the connectivity services contract.
Please talk to your Openreach sales and relationship manager about replacing your WES and WEES circuits with an EAD circuit.
