This briefing is to inform Dark Fibre CPs about changes to monthly roundings detailed in Note 12 of Openreach’s Dark Fibre Price List (Section 9.1.1 – Dark Fibre).

Openreach is announcing changes to monthly roundings detailed in Note 12 of Openreach’s Dark Fibre Price List (Section 9.1.1 – Dark Fibre).

We are making changes to the monthly flex pricing (rounding) formula for a dark fibre circuit where charges are further split between Local A-end and Local B-end. For regulated rental products that have a charge ceiling set by Ofcom that is not divisible by twelve, Openreach will flex the monthly billing charges up or down, so that over the course of the year the total price billed is no more than the Ofcom charge ceiling. This process applies wherever the listed price is not divisible by 12.

There is no change to the published annual price for Dark Fibre products as set out in Section 9 of the Dark Fibre Price List.

The monthly flex prices detailed will take effect from 01/04/2024.
