This briefing is to inform CPs about changes to Note 12 of Openreach’s Ethernet Price List (Section 3.2.3 - Ethernet Access Direct (EAD) including EAD Enable).

Openreach is announcing changes to Note 12 of the Ethernet Price List (Section 3.2.3 - Ethernet Access Direct (EAD) including EAD Enable). From 1 May 2024, Openreach’s EAD 1Gb 60-month minimum period product will no longer be available with fixed term rentals. Rentals of EAD 1Gb 60-month minimum period orders placed on or after 1 May 2024 will be billed according to the product’s prevailing rental as stated on the Openreach Price List in accordance with the terms of the Connectivity Services Contract.

Fixed rentals will continue for any orders of EAD 1GB 60-month minimum period that were placed before 1 May 2024 for the remainder of the minimum periods.

Openreach have identified a small proportion of in-life EAD 1Gb 60-month minimum period orders that had rentals increased in error during their minimum periods. Those CPs affected will be contacted separately by Openreach in due course with further information on how we intend to correct billing errors, alongside timelines for billing corrections.
