This briefing is to inform CPs about price changes to OSA and OSEA products, and the launch of a new OSA wavelength product option.

Openreach is announcing changes to OSA and OSEA pricing for 2023/24. Price changes will take effect from 01/05/2023.

Openreach is also announcing the launch of a new wavelength card within the OSA FSP3000 Filter Connect portfolio. From 1 April 2023, the 9TCE-PCN-10GU+10G (9TCE) wavelength card will be incorporated within all OSA FSP3000 Filter Connect base build options and will also be available for additional purchase.

The 9TCE is a single slot width enterprise type card that can operate in either of two modes. These are: 

        a Flexponder (e.g. up to 4x 10Gbit/s wavelengths) or as

        a Muxponder (e.g. up to 9 client ports aggregated into a single 10Gbit/s wavelength).

Compatibility

From 1 April 2023, customers can order the 9TCE card for new and existing OSA FSP3000 Filter Connect (FC), Dual Fibre Working (DFW) systems. It is compatible with the existing range of OSA FSP3000 chassis types (1U, 7U and 9U), although a software update may be required on older systems.

Pre-order optical designs will include the 9TCE card as an option from 1 March 2023.
