This briefing is to inform CPs about the availability of new customer interface modify options for EAD 1000.

A new standalone modify journey enabling a change to the customer interface at one or both ends of an EAD 1000 service will be available from 13 April 2023.  Changes will be allowed from optical to electrical interfaces or vice versa, for the following 3 client interface options: 1000 BaseT RJ45 electrical, 1000 BaseLX (SMF) optical (SFP), 1000 BaseSX (MMF) optical (SFP) for all current and next generation EAD 1000 services.
