02/11/2023

For information

This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs).

This briefing is to inform CPs, about the withdrawal from new supply of cards and components from both the Optical Spectrum Access XG210 and FSP3000 product family.

We are withdrawing several Optical Spectrum Access cards and components from new supply, primarily driven by a cessation in vendor supply. The impacted cards and components are as follows:

XG210

  • OSA XG210 8x1GE wavelength card, with optical client interfaces (GE-8S-CC)
  • OSA XG210 8x1GE wavelength card, with electrical client interfaces (GE-8E-CC)
  • OSA XG210 Additional 1U Chassis
  • OSA XG210 Pre-amplifier

FSP3000 & FSP3000 Filter Connect

  • 10G, long-reach, single-port wavelength card (WCC-PCTN-1OG-V)

The proposed withdrawal of these cards and components will only prevent new supply and will not have an impact on the existing installed base. There will be no change to the current associated pricing for the cards and components associated to this withdrawal.

The OSA Product Description and Suppliers’ Information Note SIN489 is being updated accordingly’.

This change will happen on 1 February 2024.
