This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs).

This briefing is to inform CPs that the new internal cable COF401 will be launched on 19 October 2022.

To facilitate a smooth transition to the new internal cable, COF401, all Ethernet Cablelink orders that have progressed past KCI1 (order validated) by 19 October 2022 will continue to be delivered using COF950.  Any orders progressed to KCI1 on or after 19 October 2022 will be delivered using COF401.

Is it important to note that the colour code of COF401 is different to COF950 and now aligns to the BT Standard colour code.  This will impact all splicing schedules needed for the Ethernet Cablelink Internal Variant 3 and External Variant orders.  Please ensure that your splicing schedules have been updated accordingly.  SIN1001 contains information on the colour coding details.
