This briefing is to inform CPs about an extension to the end date of the 1Gbit/s+ Pilot.

We are announcing an extension to the Pilot for GEA-FTTP speeds above 1Gbit/s. The current published end date of 31 March 2023 will be extended to 31 July 2023.

Terms of Pilot Extension

Further to the above extension, the Pilot shall continue on the same terms as set out in briefing NGA2012/22 with the following two changes:

1) The Pilot location has been expanded from Swansea exchange to Swansea and Ipswich exchanges. We reserve the right to expand the number of Pilot locations to scale-up operations and supply chain in preparation for launch.

2) From 1 April 2023, CPs that have signed-up to Equinox 2 and who achieve Equinox 2 targets will receive Equinox 2 discounts. Until the pilot is complete these products are only available in the pilot areas. Pilot prices remain unchanged. The table below sets out the Pilot prices with and without Equinox 2 discounts applied. More detail about the Equinox 2 offer is set out in NGA2018/22.
