NGA2004/24  Direct End Customer Contact: End Customer “Cancel” Responses – PoC (Proof of Concept)

This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs) who consume FTTP.

Openreach is to trial a new process (on an opt-in basis) whereby end customers who respond “cancel” to Direct End Customer Contact communications are flagged to the CP to confirm the end customer’s intention. In the absence of further CP action, the order will auto-cancel after 15 calendar days. The process is intended to increase efficiency and to improve the end customer experience.
