This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs).

This briefing is to inform all CPs about changes to the Connectivity Services Contract text for EAD to reflect CCDs of less than 30 working days.

This is a follow up to briefings ETH051/20 published on 22 December 2020 and ETH011/21 published on 19 March 2021.

This briefing is to inform CPs that the contract text presented to Industry at the EPCG on 15 December 2020 and notified on 22 December 2020 via briefing ETH051/20 was not implemented on 22 March 2021 due to questions raised by one CP.  The CP’s questions have now been resolved, there is no change to the notified text, and it will now be implemented on 19 July 2021.  This update was presented to EPCG on 15 June 2021.   This change will apply from 19 July 2021 to all new and in-flight orders where KCI 2 has not yet been sent. The Openreach Pricing List notes have been updated to reflect this change also.

The discussions with the CP that raised the questions did lead to an additional contract text change, which was also presented to Industry at the EPCG on 15 June 2021.  This briefing is notifying the formal contract text changes for this additional change to the Connectivity Services Contract as set out on the Openreach Contracts webpage (link referenced below). This change will come into effect on 16 September 2021.
