GEN051/21 Special Offer to support Stop Sell Exchanges

28/05/2021    For information

This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs).

This briefing is to inform CPs about a free GEA-FTTP connection offer in Stop Sell exchanges between 29 June and 21 September 2021.

In June 2021, 13 exchanges will move into Stop Sell status, meaning that only GEA-FTTP circuits will be available to serve new orders where a premises has FTTP available to order.  In these exchanges (and Salisbury exchange which is already under Stop Sell), connection will be free on new GEA-FTTP connections.  This will apply for orders placed between 29 June and 21 September 2021.  This is the first phase of stop sell exchanges and we are keen to continue to use these to drive additional learnings on customer migrations. This special offer has been put in place to support learning in this limited number of exchanges.

This will not apply to new connections to GEA-FTTP up to 500Mbps /165Mbps, or GEA-FTTP up to 1000Mbps /220Mbps.

The applicable exchanges are:
