This briefing is to inform all CPs about an extension to the end date of the 1Gbit/s+ Pilot to 30 September 2023

We are announcing an extension to the Pilot for GEA-FTTP speeds above 1Gbit/s. The current published end date of 31 July 2023 will be extended to 30 September 2023.

The Pilot locations have been expanded to Swansea and Ipswich exchanges, as well as various exchanges in Northern Ireland. We reserve the right to expand the number of Pilot locations further to scale-up operations and supply chain in preparation for launch.

Any CPs that are considering taking part in the Pilot should contact Matt Sledge. We are open to expanding the Pilot locations, if helpful, to any CPs that are considering taking part and would be happy to discuss this further.

We will continue to provide updates via CFPCG.

We would also like to remind CPs of our customer test services. Flight cases are available to loan and CPs can book time in the Performance Test Facility in Adastral Park. This is available free of charge and it is not necessary to participate in the Pilot in order to make use of these customer test services.

Terms of Pilot Extension

The Pilot shall continue on the same terms as set out in briefing NGA2012/22. As set out in briefing NGA2002/23, from 1 April 2023, CPs that have signed-up to Equinox 2 and who achieve Equinox 2 targets will receive Equinox 2 discounts.

Pilot prices remain unchanged.

Until the Pilot is complete these products are only available in the Pilot areas.
