This on-net data file contains a list of addresses where our network records show we have existing on-net presence i.e. where Openreach fibre infrastructure already exists at the location. Having existing fibre infrastructure, typically means we’re able to deliver Ethernet connectivity within 20 working days. Actual delivery timescales will be confirmed, on a per circuit basis, through our standard Ethernet order process.
The on-net data file below lists postcodes within most metro areas, including the Central London Area (CLA), where our records show we have fibre capacity within a given building. Central London Area is the area consisting of the postal sectors set out in Schedule 2 of Annex 35 to Ofcom’s BCMR Statement of 28 April 2016. Please note some address points do not include a building number, however we have still included these for completeness. We aim to refresh the list at least every six months.
We’re making this data available to CPs who intend to purchase wholesale Ethernet services from us, on the terms and conditions of data usage applicable to the existing Openreach Infrastructure Discovery map tool. The Connectivity Services Contract covers terms and conditions of data usage from the Infrastructure Discovery map tool (of which this is considered as subset), the pertinent terms of usage are restated below:
Extract from 9.1 of Connectivity services contract
The following restrictions apply to the use of the Infrastructure Tool data supplied to the Communications Provider by BT:
(i) The data in the Tool is to be used only in relation to the Service.
(ii) The data shall be Confidential Information as described in clause 10 of the terms and conditions, and may not be passed to a third party.
(iii) The data provided is in relation to a potential Order and should not be retained for further reference or use.
(iv) The data must not be stored by the Communications Provider in locations outside the UK and the Tool may only be accessed by the Communications Provider from within the UK.
9.2 BT does not give any warranty or assurance as to the accuracy of any information provided to the Communications Provider by BT under subparagraph 9.1 above.
The information in the files is confidential as between BT and the CP and must be treated as such in accordance with the terms of the Connectivity Services Contract. In particular, and without prejudice to the terms of the Connectivity Service Contract, the Communications Provider must treat the information in the files as Confidential Information and protect such Confidential Information and will not, without the prior written consent of BT, use such Confidential Information except as necessary for the purposes of the performance of the Connectivity Services Contract.
The data set in this document is provided on a flat file, it is not interactive with other Openreach systems, and does not guarantee service is readily available. The list is not exhaustive and may not contain details of all Data Centres in all locations. Not all Data Centres share their locations in the general public domain. If a site is not listed here, it does not mean that it is not connected. CPs are recommended to carry out their own checks for their specific requirements.
The information in this document is provided for CP use only, for the sole purpose of ordering wholesale Ethernet services from Openreach, and is not for onward distribution. The information is confidential and must be treated in accordance with the terms of Section 9 of the Contract for Connectivity Services Schedule 2 – The Service, covering the use of data supplied from the Infrastructure Discovery Tool, of which this is considered a subset.
The information provided in the Network Inventory Datasets below is current at the time of publication and is subject to change as the Openreach network evolves. These lists will be updated as necessary to reflect any changes to the planned network rollout. Please ensure that reference is made to the latest published version of these Datasets before placing an order.
The Customer Requirements Forms (CRF) below contain BT site information that will be updated as the rollout of the EBD and ONBS products progresses. Please ensure that the latest version of each CRF is used when placing an order.
Note that macros are used within these forms and must be enabled to allow the forms to work properly.
The file below will allow Communications Providers to see which exchange serves a given postcode for access fibre. The exchange name and associated reference codes are also provided per postcode for ease of use. This file does not guarantee that any particular postcode has fibre present. The information provided is indicative only and subject to change. BT will not accept liability arising from any changes.
Each zip file contains a text file in csv (Comma Separated Variable) format that is best opened in a text editor such as MS Notepad or imported into a database, such as MS Access, as a comma delimited text file.
