This briefing is for all Ethernet Communications Providers (CPs).

Openreach is notifying to CPs that the EAD Sensitive (EAD-S) product will be formally launched on 1 May 2022.

Openreach has developed the EAD-S product in response to SoR 8599 “Replacement for EAD Enable”. 

EAD-S provides CPs with point to point EAD connectivity for sensitive sites; it is provided without an Openreach management connection and makes use of security cleared personnel.

ETHO13/22 invited CPs to be part of the pilot for EAD Sensitive.  This briefing notifies CPs that the EAD Sensitive product will be launched on 1 May 2022.

• The EAD Sensitive Product Description is now published on the EAD Sensitive page on the Openreach portal.
• The Connectivity Services Contract has been amended to incorporate EAD-S and these changes can be viewed on the Openreach portal.
• The EAD Sensitive Pricing is now included in the EAD published prices.
