This briefing is for Ethernet Communications Providers (CPs).
This briefing is to inform all CPs about the launch of Openreach's new seven year Very High Bandwidth pricing for Ethernet Access Direct (EAD) 10Gbps and Optical Spectrum Access Filter Connect (OSA FC). This pricing is aimed to better meet the needs of infrastructure providers. Openreach is also launching a new lower priced five year OSA Filter Connect product. In addition we are making reductions in the OSA Filter Connect amplification pricing.
Launch of seven year pricing variant for OSA Filter Connect and EAD 10Gbps
Openreach is pleased to announce the launch of new seven year Very High Bandwidth pricing for EAD 10Gbps and OSA Filter Connect, from 2 July 2019.
This pricing is aimed to better meet the needs of infrastructure providers.

New five year pricing variant for OSA Filter Connect
Openreach is also launching a new lower priced five year OSA Filter Connect variant, from 2 July 2019. To enable this lower price (9-17% rental discount) this product option will have a different early termination charges to our current five year OSA Filter Connect product.

Early termination charge policy for new five and seven year minimum period pricing OSA Filter Connect and EAD 10Gbps

The percentages above refer to how much of that years rental is payable in the event the circuit is terminated before that years rental has been paid.
This policy applies to both circuit rental and mainlink rental.
So for example if a CP was on a seven year minimum period paying a total annual rental of £3,850, and they terminated their circuit after five years, they would pay:
Migration option for CPs already consuming OSA Filter Connect on a five year minimum period
Any CP already consuming OSA Filter Connect on a five year minimum period will be able to choose to migrate their circuits to the new five year minimum period variant, without charge and without extending their minimum period commitments. Withdrawal of current five year OSA Filter Connect pricing
The existing OSA Filter Connect five year minimum period variant will be withdrawn for new sales after 90 days on 2 September 2019. With the new cheaper five year minimum period variant acting as a replacement.
OSA Filter Connect Amplification pricing reduction
Openreach is pleased to announce reduced OSA Filter Connect amplification pricing, from 2 July 2019.
