This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs).

This briefing is to inform CPs about the stop-sell of EBD 1Gb variants.

From 1 April 2023, no new provision orders will be accepted for the EBD 1G product variants (including resilience options and extended reach options).

After 31 March 2023, we will only accept shift (within a building) and cease order types against installed EBD 1G circuits.

Installed EBD 1G services will continue to be maintained.

Repair activities on EBD 1G services will continue to be maintained.

EBD 10G products are unaffected by this stop-sell notification.

Documentation

The EBD Product Description will be updated to reflect this change.

Other documentation, including the Openreach Price List, will be updated in line with standard formal product notification procedures associated with the implementation of this change.
