This briefing is to inform CPs about the move to using the Local Access Dataset (LAD) to calculate Mainlink distance on Ethernet Access Direct circuits ordered or modified on or after 22/02/2021.

In briefing ETH019/20 Ethernet Access Direct Reach and Mainlink investigation we informed industry of our proposal to clarify the Mainlink product rules on all new circuits by calculating Mainlink distance from the Local Access Dataset (LAD). This briefing confirms the details of adopting this change.
