This briefing is to inform all CPs about changes we are making to the SFI2 product covering price changes from 01/04/2020, the removal of the modularisation of the SFI2 product and replacing it with a non-modularised alternative and renaming it SFI Assure (SFIA).

This briefing is to inform all CPs about changes we are making to remove the modularisation of the SFI2 product and replacing it with a non-modularised alternative and renaming it SFI Assure (SFIA).

Following industry consultation we are simplifying the SFI2 end user direct variant (LL14) by:

1.         Removing the modularisation

2.         Creating a non-modularised alternative priced at £104.99

3.         Renaming the non-modularised alternative SFI Assure (SFIA)

There is no impact to CPs consumption of the LL14 product from these changes but they will no longer be able to exclude modules when raising the task. If any request to exclude is made the system will not pass that onto engineers.

The product scope of SFIA will align entirely with SFI2 end user variant all modules approved (Base, Network, Frames, Internal Wiring, Internal Equipment) and will be presented to engineers as that.

The change is planned to take place in R4350 scheduled for deployment on 15/05/2020 taking effect on all LL14 tasks raised to Openreach from 16/05/2020. Tasks raised before this date will progress with the CP module approval process.

At launch on 16/05/2020, SFI Assure will be priced at £104.99. Prior to this launch date, the existing SFI modules will continue to be available and prices will decrease on 01/04/2020.

The SFI2 Frames Direct (LL13) product will not be withdrawn as part of the removal of the modularisation of the SFI2 product and will remain unchanged.
