This briefing is to inform all CPs that Openreach will be consulting on proposals for the future of the UK's digital infrastructure and offers the opportunity to sign up to an event we're hosting to provide you with further information.
As presented at the Copper and Fibre Products Commercial Group meeting on 13 February 2019, later this month (March 2019) Openreach will be publishing a consultation document on proposals for an exchange based approach to upgrading the UK’s infrastructure with Fibre to the Premises.
This consultation will be seeking feedback from our customers and wider industry on a set of proposals covering:
This is a significant development for the industry and represents a move to a digital, full fibre future. This change will affect how you do business with Openreach.
As part of the consultation process we’re holding a launch event with CPs and industry groups in central London.
This event will be your opportunity to hear more about the Openreach proposals and understand what happens next, take views from industry experts and to ask any questions. We’d like to see representatives from as many CPs as possible*.
