This briefing is to inform CPs about updates to DFX SIN 525.

Following discussions with industry at the DFX IWGs, we have agreed several updates to the Suppliers’ Information Note (525) for DFX. The most material update is an increased maintenance loss budget to take into account the impact of splice and connector losses, the detail of which can be found in Section 5. Other updates include the addition of differential optical loss between fibres in a fibre pair service (Section 4) and clarification of fibre specifications (Section 4).    

CPs have 28 days to review the updated SIN. Any feedback from CPs is welcomed for further discussion/consultation before it is formally published.
