This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs).

This briefing is to inform all CPs about a change to the price for energy usage per kWh.

We're advising CPs of a reduction in the price of energy usage per kWh from £0.1247 to £0.1098 for all comingling products utilised for LLU, Access Locate and Access Locate Plus.

This change will come into effect on 1 December 2019 and any energy used from this date onwards will be charged at the revised rate until further notice. This reduction is due to a one off correction in the Carbon Reduction Commitment charge, a tax which is included within the power usage charge. Given this is based on unique one off circumstances, the reduced energy usage charge will only apply for the remainder of the 2019/20 financial year.
