This briefing provides 2 years’ advance notice of a pricing special offer on GEA-FTTC/SOGEA and Gfast/SOGfast for the period from 21 August  2023 to 31 January 2024

Openreach is pleased to announce a new GEA special offer on price which will come in to effect once the current GEA special offer comes to an end from 20 August 2023.

This special offer will help provide pricing certainty on all GEA-FTTC/SOGEA (including Gfast / SOGfast) products beyond the current 5 year-term of the current GEA special offer. 

The offer term is for an initial 5-month period between 21 August  2023 and 31 January 2024 (the Offer Period). It is not subject to any CP commitments within this offer term.

We are continuing to explore options for providing further pricing certainty beyond this offer period, with up to 2 years’ notice provided.

We initially flagged our intentions in this area at the Copper and Fibre Products Commercial Group (CFPCG) industry forum on 9 June 2021. We have decided to notify for prices applicable from 21 August  2023 until 31 January 2024 to ensure our CPs and their customers can continue to benefit from the discounted prices CPs are familiar with under the current GEA special offer. 

The discounted prices will be available during the Offer Period on all variants of GEA-FTTC products (including Gfast) across Great Britain and Northern Ireland and will not be subject to any commitments from CPs. It will be available to all CPs, including those who did not sign up to the current GEA special offer.

How CPs can take advantage of this special offer

The special offer price announced here will apply automatically, for the duration of the Offer Period.
