The purpose of this briefing is to update the commencement date following an Ofcom waiver associated with an Openreach temporary price to deliver SOGEA New Line Provide with installation at Premises [Standard and Premium] during the Covid-19 period.

Openreach announced on 13 May 2020 a discounted connection price for SOGEA New Line Provide with installation at Premises [Standard and Premium]. The price was to be applicable for orders placed from 11 June 2020 for those orders which Openreach will attempt to provision by not entering the end customer’s premises. Openreach confirmed that it had requested from Ofcom a waiver to the standard 28 day notification period which has now been granted. On 21 May 2020, Ofcom published a statement consenting to Openreach waiving the notification period for the introduction of the temporary price with immediate effect. Openreach will now offer the price to be applicable for orders placed from and including 21 May 2020 for those orders which Openreach will attempt to provision by not entering the end customer's premises.

The discounted rate will be available until Openreach agrees it is safe to start entering end customer's premises for the duration required to deliver managed installs.

For those orders affected a discounted rate of £83.76 will apply.
