This briefing is to notify CPs that the registration window for the GEA-FTTP Equinox special offer is reopening for one month in August 2022. Equinox provides long-term pricing certainty to CPs making GEA-FTTP their default broadband technology when purchasing from Openreach. The new registration window will be open from 1 August 2022 to 31 August 2022. .
Following the introduction of the GEA-FTTP Special Offer - Equinox on 1 October 2021 (NGA2017/21), Openreach is pleased to reopen the Equinox registration to enable more Communications Providers (CPs) to take advantage of the special offer.
The new registration window will open from 1 August 2022 to 31 August 2022, with a contract effective date of 1 October 2022 for any CP signing in this registration window. Pricing information is set out in ACCN OR761, and there are no changes to the Equinox contract for those CPs joining on 1 October 2022. The terms and conditions for any new joiners to Equinox are exactly the same, in particular, the Fibre Only target of 90% applies from the contract effective date.
Objectives of Equinox
The Equinox offer provides long-term pricing certainty, until 30 September 2031, for CPs across the Openreach GEA-FTTP footprint built to date and to be built up to December 2026. Discounts are available to CPs that choose to place a set percentage of new orders they are willing to place on the Openreach network on GEA-FTTP, where available.
The offer is designed to:
(i) Make GEA-FTTP the preferred technology through a simple CP commitment and competitive pricing;
(ii) Offer extended pricing certainty across a broad choice of speeds, enabling CPs to create their own competitive and differentiated offers; and
(iii) Align and simplify pricing and commitment structures across the Openreach GEA-FTTP- footprint.
