NGA2029/19 GEA-FTTP Only offer

This briefing is for all, LLU, WLR and NGA Communications Providers (CPs).

This briefing is to notify CPs about a special offer on GEA-FTTP in Fibre First Towns and Cities, where connection and rental discounts are available on all premises part of the Fibre First Towns and Cities program that are declared as ready for service on or before 31 March 2021. The special offer will start on 1 January 2020. The offer will be open to participation for 12 months from the start date of the offer.

In order to be eligible for discounts CPs must commit to (i) achieving a high target of GEA-FTTP new provides as a percentage of total new provides in the footprint. In months 1 to 9 from the start of the offer, the FTTP target is 70%, increasing to 85% in months 10, 11, and 12, and 90% thereafter until the end of the offer (ii) having GEA Cablelinks in place or on order in the areas they plan to consume Openreach GEA-FTTP. The Connection offer pricing for Data Products Variant in the selected areas will be as follows:

  1. New to Openreach network (NTN*) connected in the first 12 months from the latest of [a] 1 January 2020 [b] Release of Footprint and [c]the date CP starts to participate in the offer will be free for the following services:

    Up to 40Mbit/s / 10Mbit/s

    Up to 40Mbit/s / 10Mbit/s where GEA FTTC 40/10 is not available

    Up to 80Mbit/s / 20Mbit/s

    Up to 115Mbit/s / 20Mbit/s

    Up to 160Mbit/s / 30Mbit/s

    Up to 220Mbit/s / 30Mbit/s

    Up to 330Mbit/s / 50Mbit/s

    Up to 550Mbit/s / 75Mbit/s

    Up to 1000Mbit/s / 115Mbit/s

  2. Non-NTN* connected in the first 6 months from latest of [a] 1 January 2020 [b] Release of Footprint and [c]the date CP starts to participate in the offer will be free for the following services:

    Up to 40Mbit/s / 10Mbit/s

    Up to 40Mbit/s / 10Mbit/s where GEA FTTC 40/10 is not available

    Up to 80Mbit/s / 20Mbit/s

    Up to 115Mbit/s / 20Mbit/s

  3. Non-NTN* connected in months 7 to 12 from latest of [a] 1 January 2020 [b] Release of Footprint and [c] the date CP starts to participate in the offer will be 50% of the GEA FTTP list prices for the following services:

CPI indexation applies to Annual Rental prices from 01/10/2022.

Additional benefits:

  • CPs will be eligible for free bandwidth modification when upgrading to higher speeds, until 30 September 2022.
  • A grace period, during which CPs will have some flexibility, will last for 6 months from 1 January 2020. During this period CPs may choose one of two options:
    • a lower stop sell commitment of 50%, or
    • a smaller footprint where they wish to participate in the offer
